ISO 14033:2019 Standard – Verified Green Claims!

Verified Green Claims!
Are you using the ISO 14033:2019 standard?

A new standard, ISO 14033:2019, was introduced in 2019 to help filter out misleading claims about green production, operations, and products. In 2024, a review confirmed that it remains valid for use without modifications!

This international ISO 14033 standard provides a systematic and methodological approach to obtaining and analyzing environmental performance data and information.

It applies to all ISO 14000 series standards, including life cycle assessments, footprint reporting, greenhouse gas emissions reporting, and verifying any claim related to sustainability and green operations.

By following this standard, companies ensure that the environmental data they provide is accurate, verified, and reliable, preventing misleading or deceptive claims in the marketplace.

ISO 14033 does not prohibit open and transparent communication. However, it requires that any publicly disclosed environmental information be verified and certified by a third party before publication.

This standard is applicable to all organizations, regardless of their size, location, structure, operations, products, services, documentation practices, or whether they have implemented an environmental management system.

For any organization publishing environmental performance data, this standard is a must-use tool!
